Role:Lead the development, management and implementation for the Project Union accounting work stream in the US.
This lead will be focused on developing our Investment Accounting Model, represent US accounting for technology initiatives and operational changes for JP Morgan's Project Union.
As the IOS US accounting work stream lead, you will partner with the technology, operations and product teams to set-up the overall workstream project, establish the project framework, lead execution, drive issue resolution and communicate status with sponsors to ensure appropriate escalation and prioritization. You will assemble and lead a team of SMEs working with technology partners to develop project plans, deliver business requirements and execute against project goals and milestones.
This lead will be responsible for the development for the WHEM IOS/middle office investment accounting team.
This candidate will be part of a senior management team responsible for the development of technology supporting the investment and fund accounting work streams.
To be successful, the candidate must have a strong sense of ownership of the program's deliverables, a proven track record leading complex programs and a working knowledge of accounting needs for Investment Operations Services, Investment Management Middle Offices and Fund Accounting Services.
Responsibilities:
Development of the operational models for the WHEM IOS accounting team
Define the detailed business requirements for enhancements required to support IOS
Mitigate risks through proactive issue identification
Take ownership and drive issue resolution
Become the overall SME for the workstream and be part of client engagements

Qualifications
Candidate should exhibit:
Superior project management skills with a minimum 7 years experience and a track record leading complex new product and technology based programs
A minimum of 15 years experience in Fund Services
Deep knowledge of the Investment Management Middle Office/IOS business and Fund Accounting
Strong understanding of investment accounting needs and ideally, experience with SunGard InvestOne Platform
Strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration and relationship building skills with experience managing virtual teams comprised of technology and business SMEs across locations
Problem solving and conflict management skills
Superior written and presentation communication skills with an emphasis on status and issue management for senior management.
Execution orientated and results driven.
