VP-Futures Compliance recruitment
This candidate will focus on the advisory, monitoring, and surveillance of the futures business.
Responsibilities
- Provide advisory coverage for the futures sales trading desk on transactions, trade issues, compliance policies and procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Frequent interaction with senior partners from sales trading, risk, operations, IT, and legal
- Active pragmatic involvement with business partners on new product initiatives to drive compliance issues and considerations
- Conduct monitoring and surveillance of trades
- Interact and manage relationships with regulatory agencies
- Provide compliance support and subject matter expertise during regulatory examinations and inquiries
- Review current business practices against regulatory requirements to ensure that discrepancies are proactively identified and addressed
- Draft and develop internal policies and procedures in response to regulatory developments
- Project management of various business projects with compliance implications
- Monitor for new regulatory developments and determine their impact on the firm
Skills Required
- At least 5 years of experience covering U.S. futures rules and regulations
- Strong knowledge of futures products
- Prior and sustained experience interacting with traders and sales professionals
- Experience developing policy, assessing risks, implementing procedures, training, monitoring and review
- Ability to interact and work closely with senior business partners
- Reliable, dependable, accountable
- Ability to quickly understand and interact with a variety of other product areas
- Proactive person who challenges processes and looks for improvements
- Able to deal with fast developing business
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong team player
