The Organisation::

A global Investment Bank requires a Senior Financial Crime Audit / Assurance professional to join their AML / Financial Crime Internal Audit team based in London. The Bank have an excellent reputation for exceptional service and have embedded a strong compliance culture. The Role:

You will join the bank reporting directly in to the Corporate Audit Director, with the purpose of assisting in leading the bank’s Financial Crime Audit programme across EMEA and other parts of the globe. This role is not only focused on strategy, but due to the size of their EU operations this role will also be very hands on with day to day AML tasks and people management.

Key Internal Audit responsibilities:

· Provide high-level advice in relation to Sanctions, AML, customer due diligence, jurisdictional risks, fraud, market abuse, bribery and corruption and data security.
· Ownership of in-country AML and Sanctions policy.
· Responsibility for ensuring the Financial Crime team is appropriately trained, coached and supervised.
· Oversight of SWIFT payments monitoring sanctions
· Provide advice on upstream UK/EU AML regulations to the business and provide input into policy consultations relevant to the business in Europe.

Desired Experience::

· Strong understanding of Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC, and USA PATRIOT Act
· Previous AML, Audit, Risk or Compliance experience
· Sound organisational, analytical, oral and written communication skills
· Ability to successfully communicate to influence management and lead change in both strategic and tactical      initiatives
· Self Starter, desire to learn able to teach others, high energy, positive attitude, exhibits flexibility
· Ability to analyse large amounts of data and turn it into usable information
· Ability to work in a very detailed manner as well as to look broadly across a population and develop connections  and themes identifying risk and concerns
· Ability to juggle multiple work efforts and to quickly change direction, as needed
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products
· Ability to converse with management on all levels
· Excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to converse with management on all levels.
· Bachelors degree or equivalent
