Our client is an International Investment Bank with continuous growth in Hong Kong and Asia creating new and promising career prospects for high calibre candidates who wish to be part of this dynamic company. An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experienced Internal Auditor to join the Internal Audit function in Hong Kong. The business travel is limited in this role for around 20% of your time.
Reporting to the North Asia Head of Internal Audit, you will be a senior team member of the Regional independent auditing function with key focuses on Equities and Equity Derivatives businesses. You will be involved in analysing and assessing the risks associated with the business and operation, such as trading systems, market risk, credit risk, operational risk, legal and compliance issues. In addition, you will assess effectiveness of internal controls of systems, risk management and governance processes. As you will be part of the regional team, you will lead or participate in business audit engagements both locally and regionally and you will plan, execute, report results and provide practical and value-adding solutions to the relevant business leaders and senior management.
To qualify, individuals must possess:
- A university degree and a professional accounting qualification or MBA
- Minimum 8 to 10 years Audit experience gained from Investment Bank, Brokerage and/or Big 4 focusing on Financial Services sector
- Experience from External Audit / Big 4 plus Product Control would also be consider
- Demonstrated experience in risk focused controls/systems based auditing techniques
- Experience in data analytical tools or software
- Familiar with capital markets regulations for investment banking activities
- Knowledge of investment banking products in Equities / Equity Derivatives
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in English
- Occasional travelling required
