Current Need

Reporting to the SVP/GM of Physician Practice Solutions (PPS is part of MTS), Vice President ¿ Program Office (PMO) will manage a team of Program Managers that execute large, cross functional engineering and process optimization programs. The PMO focuses on structuring and managing the delivery of a complex solution potentially spanning product management, RD, Services and Support functions. This position oversees all aspects of driving the solutions to market including, Sales, Services, Development, Quality, Regulatory and customer readiness.

The PMO will consist of 3-4 Program Managers who are each responsible for ensuring the delivery of 2-3 development programs or other large, cross-functional initiatives in a calendar year.

Additionally, the Vice President ¿ Program Office will be an integral member of the Business Unit leadership team and will collaborate with fellow team members to drive the overall success of the business unit in terms of market share gain, customer success, and employee engagement.

Position Description

Primary Responsibilities

¿ Drive overall awareness of and engagement in the PMO processes by the PPS business unit.

¿ Ensure program is in line with the McKesson Project Management methodology

¿ Ensure delivery on major milestones; as appropriate, tracks achievement of performance/risk-based contractual requirements

Track overall progress of the various assigned programs

¿ Ensure appropriate communication throughout the extended Team (including customer team members and executives including, Executive Sponsor, BU leadership, as appropriate)

Facilitate activities such as progress and quality reviews

¿ Overall Management:

Manage revenue and cost for the program

Manage resource utilization of up to 4 Program Managers

Track, review and approve travel expenses of assigned to the program

Participate in hiring and orientation activities, and handle miscellaneous HR issues

¿ Participate in planning and executing the growth of the PMO, not only in the number of resources, but also in the development of the PMO capabilities (e.g., resource skills, PMO tools and processes)

Innovation and Collaboration

¿ Lead the redesign effort of our Program Management processes.

¿ Drive cross functional collaboration to ensure successful product releases that are high quality and ready for implementation and support.

¿ Continue to revise processes as new programs become available, and/or new business and regulatory requirements occur.

Project Execution

¿ Lead the redesign of the cross-functional process to develop and launch new software releases

¿ Serve as the PMO for 1-2 programs, including FDA Compliance

Business Experience ¿

¿ Demonstrated leadership qualities such as conflict/issue resolution, the ability to run a project or serve as project manager on a program team and can ensure a successful project lifecycle.

¿ Experience leading a team of project management professionals

¿ Ability to communicate (verbally and in writing) effectively with stakeholders and senior business leadership of departments and customers participating in this project.

¿ Ability to organize and work effectively with project teams of staff from department and customers participating in this effort.

¿ Demonstrated experience and relevant expertise in the design and building of IT solutions.

¿ Demonstrated experience with process definition and process improvement initiatives.

Additional Knowledge Skills

Specialized Knowledge/Skills ¿

¿ Program Management certification required.

¿ Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred. Master Black Belt certification highly desirable

¿ Travel required: 15 to 25% may be required for staff meetings and visits to PPS office locations

Minimum Requirements

* 10+ years experience in designing, building, and implementing business solutions. Significant experience in project management.

* 3+ years of personnel management experience.

* Must have a Master Black Belt and prefer Engineering PM experience.

Education

¿ MBA or relevant graduate degree preferred
