VP Project Manager – Finance Change – General Ledger – Leading Investment Bank recruitment

A leading Investment Bank is looking for VP level Project Manager that has spent a minimum of 3-5 years in a Financial Reporting line role and subsequently a Projects role within a leading Investment Bank, to work within a highly regarded Statutory Change team, effectively re-designing the functional architecture for all general ledger change.

This position will suit a high-calibre qualified accountant with a proven track record of delivery as a Project Manager or Business Analyst, with a background in Financial Control Change / Finance Transformation and who is keen to develop valuable process designs that will make genuine commercial impact. The role will be part of large scale, long term Finance Change Programme designed to improve ledger processes and support their application globally.

This position is suited to a senior manager from a line Financial Reporting background or a change professional with a great deal of subject matter expertise in the financial reporting space IFRS, IAS, Basel, UK US GAAP. You are likely to have investment banking financial control experience and some projects driven from the line side.

The team will be responsible for developing accurate diagrams and business requirements documents for IT consumption which must be of a high standard to ensure accuracy of translation into application design. You will also participate in the governing of project activities, in validating process models with stakeholders and interfacing with other Financial Reporting workstreams.  Ideally you will have prior experience of delivering large scale ledger change initiatives within an Investment Bank

Candidate requirements:

-Qualified accountant ACA, CIMA, ACCA or CA

-Experienced in working in a financial accounting / reporting line role.

-Change experience delivering financial reporting / general ledger / Sub ledger projects / COREP.

-Strong stakeholder management

-Strong leadership skills
