VP – Regulatory Developments recruitment

The client has a broad portfolio of innovative product classes that can be tailored towards both institutional and individual clients. The Compliance Advisory team is responsible for providing qualitative Compliance advice to the various business divisions within the EMEA region.

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Working with the head of the team and colleagues within Compliance and Legal to co-ordinate Compliance activities relating to regulatory developments in Europe, including initiatives arising from European central supervisory bodies and national regulators.

• Providing effective and proactive support to the regulatory policy agenda, co-ordinating with the EMEA Government Relations and Public Policy team, including analysis of emerging and new regulation, input to submissions made to European supervisory bodies, trade associations and other stakeholders.

• Engaging with various business areas and supporting functions to implement regulatory change to ensure the firm continues to fulfil its regulatory obligations.

• Providing input to regular reporting and communicating on regulatory developments to senior management and corporate and/or fund boards.

• Providing input on regulatory developments in client presentations.

• Providing input to and actively participating in team and departmental briefings.

• Co-ordinating the meetings of internal committees and other stakeholder groups, as required.  

• Managing internal records of regulatory papers and other material.

• Participating in other Compliance projects and initiatives.

• Reviewing client communications and/or financial promotions (as required) including brochures, factsheets, presentations etc.

You will have a proven track record within Asset Management Compliance with previous exposure to regulatory developments work and/or FSA and EU regulations. You will be working in a fast paced environment where its constantly changing nature will require you to remain up to date with any new regulations and its impact on the business.
