VP – Relationship Manager – Debt Markets recruitment

As an integral member of a leading ratings agency team you will be responsible for strategic relationship management of a network of intermediary contacts and existing client base in the North Asia region (ex Japan and Korea). A smaller part of the role will be the co-ordination of specific account management activities and projects across the Asia Pacific region.

The individual will be well versed in achieving success in negotiations using techniques developed in response to individual customer value propositions. A key goal of this strategy involves growing  coverage in the region with a primary focus on debt issuance ratings for corporates and financial institutions.

Responsibilities:

Lead a small team of locally-based account management and business development professionals, with responsibility for delivering on new debt issuance mandates, market share, revenue, and calling objectives for the team. You will work closely with business development peers located in China and Korea.

Develop and maintain close relationships with the key financial intermediaries servicing the ratings business in the region.

Undertake a systematic regional calling plan on key client accounts, as well as other marketing activities aimed at extending returns from the existing client portfolio.

Keep abreast of market dynamics for all ratings-related opportunities in the region and communicate these to business development peers and senior management.

Coordinate and oversee specific projects for the Account Management function in the Asia Pacific region, working in conjunction with other regional Vice Presidents and the Head of Relationship Management.

Requirements:

MBA or Masters level preferred.

Extensive business experience in relationship banking, debt capital markets, business consulting or similar.

Credit analysis knowledge would be an advantage.

Strong oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple projects are essential.

Mandarin speakers are encouraged to apply.

Regional travel is required
