VP Research
We are seeking for an experienced candidate for an exciting senior research role to join Beijing based team to lead the inhouse research efforts across the Asian Oil Gas sector, conduct market and industry research on the Asian petroleum space in order to support Asia focused corporate business decisions related to the existing Joint Ventures and potential new investments.
You will be responsible for the research activities related to the oil industry and the preparation of papers, presentation and briefings for the Asia Management committee and actively generate/support JV and MA ideas.
Major responsibilities will include;
- Lead / support research and idea generation efforts in Asia
- As the sector expert, review and analyze oil industry journals and prepare reports on relevant issues, and ideas.
- Prepare and update profiles and risk assessments for Asian’s countries.
- Install, update and manage group Information updates in Asia.
- Develop presentations and management briefings on current oil industry issues, Asian countries and specific topics related to Asia investments and Joint Ventures.
- Coordinate Asia Merger JVD activities related to Operating Plan, Business Plan and MIS initiatives.
You will need to have;
- University degree preferably with Master Degree.
- Minimum of 10 years in the oil industry with a multinational company / Investment Bank / Consultancy or research firm.
- Experience in oil marketing and industry research.
- Vast experience preparing management and business reports on topics related to the oil industry.
- Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)
