VP, Transaction Manager , Securities Services recruitment

Part of the Securities Services segment of this large universal bank, the Corporate Trust and Loan Agency provides a full range of trustee, agency and related services to participants in the international capital markets. The role is for a legally trained Transaction Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The job holder will be responsible for managing and maintaining transactions
handled by the CTLA team in Singapore, which include but not limited to
the following:

•  Perform deal/structure review, negotiate with clients on documentation
and facilitate transaction closings by ensuring (eg. by negotiation) the
operation of the accounts are not overly time consuming, burdensome or
operationally risky.

•  Manage transactions independently including negotiations on documentation,
minimizing legal and operational risks, highlighting and obtaining clearance
on onerous terms especially if they are inconsistent with the bank’s standard
requirements, and to seek guidance from the Line Manager/Business Head,
where required.

•  Liaise with regional and overseas offices to ensure seamless deal execution
and ongoing administration and coordinate with local and overseas Client
Service Team for deal requirements awareness.

•  Assist the Sales team in formulating transaction pricing to ensure revenue
commensurate with risks and administrative efforts.

•  Highlight any business opportunities to the Sales team.

•  Work closely with the Client Service team during the life of the transaction
to manage and maintain all documentation/credit-related matters of the
transaction after closing.

•  Develop administrative and operational procedures to ensure their compliance
with the bank’s policies and procedures.

•  Manage client relationships to ensure that all requests are promptly
responded to.

Experience/Skills required

•  Experience in debt capital markets, loans, project finance, corporate
trusts or prior Corporate Trust and Loan Agency or related experience,
familiar with documentation / administrative work capability /relationship
management necessary for such business requirements are preferred.

•  Possess positive working attitude, initiative, drive and professionalism
with strong multi-tasking, organizational and time management skills.

•  Well-organised and able to work independently within short and tight
timelines.

•  Strong team player with a strong sense of responsibility, ownership,
accountability, commitments and ability to work under pressure and deal
with rapidly changing circumstances.

•  Ability to work accurately and be receptive to different views to provide
solutions to problems.

•  Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with
different levels of people internally and externally.

•  Preferably proficient in MS Office (Word Excel).
