VP/SVP, SALES MANAGER/DIRECTOR - ELECTRONIC TRADING

Our client is a world-leading operator in building and operating electronic over-the-counter marketplaces in Fixed Income and other derivatives markets. The company serves more than 2,000 institutional investors in over 20 markets in more than 50 countries worldwide.

This role is based in Singapore and reports to the Managing Director, Head of Distribution (Asia Europe).

Role Description:

This role will join the Non-Japan Asia Sales Team based in Singapore. You will be responsible for building and developing a sales pipeline, educating clients on products or systems, establishing new contacts within existing accounts and also developing relationships and identifying opportunities with new clients. 

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute the sales strategy, also partnering closely with Client Services, Product Training Specialists and Product Specialist Sales Teams globally.

• Contribute to the development of the sales pipeline, developing a thorough understanding the key drivers and priorities as well as sharing information and ensuring a close alignment to team goals.

• Build and develop key relationships both internally and with the local buy-side customer base, establishing yourself as a ‘go to’ person for ASEAN customer enquiries and information; educate others and provide presentations / demonstrations as necessary.

• Help cement the Company’s position as a market leader within the Dealer to Client Fixed Income and Derivatives e-trading market in Asia, keeping up to date with market developments and competitor intelligence to maintain competitive advantage.

Requirements:

• Prior experience in selling to Southern Asian Financial Institutions, ideally working for a Bank, vendor, brokerage house or other relevant financial services company.

• Solid understanding of Fixed Income products and OTC Derivatives, and have some insight into how products are traded electronically in the Dealer to Client environment.

• Possess good network of client contacts in Singapore and/or Asia.

• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, a flexible style suited to building relationships with a range of clients and the tenacity to pursue opportunities.

• Be results-oriented and possess a strong ability to drive and execute a sales strategy.

• Show a commitment to achieving high standards and be able to function in a team environment.

• Fluency in English is essential and other regional languages such as Mandarin, Cantonese, Thai, Bahasa Indonesia will be a distinct advantage.
