Job Title: Shipping/Receiving Clerk
General Definition: Verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepare items for shipment. This position will perform a wide variety of logistics duties which include receiving, unloading, counting, expediting, stocking, scheduling, cycle counting, kitting, troubleshooting, staging, packing, shipping, filing, calculating, inspecting, and various administrative and data management functions.

Essential Job Functions:

· Examine contents and compare with records, such as manifests, purchase orders, invoices, req., to verify and ensure shipments meet specifications and accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments. Report any questions or concerns of shipping shortages or overages to management.
· Examine products or materials to estimate quantities or weight and type of container required for storage or transport. Pulls stored inventory items for orders, scan and document in (WPro) Logility Warehouse Pro data base and move them to production or shipping areas.
· Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies. Operates hand truck, fork lift or pallet jack to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping-and-receiving platform to storage or work area
· Drives truck to deliver and/or pick up products and/or supplies to Production business.
· Collects or picks up empty containers or rejected merchandise. Loads truck.
· Execute special projects as delegated by the management team
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
· High school degree or general education degree (GED)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Able to adjust approach to match varied task requirements. Adjust behavior to other’s style; Change priorities to meet changing demands; Adjust quickly to new responsibilities and tasks.
· Periodically required to list, pull, push, or carry objects; reach with hands and arms, enter data into computer software program; drive a vehicle to pick up supplies; and talk or hear.
· While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly exposed to risks associated with travel between buildings and airborne fumes or airborne particles, including second hand smoke.
· Noise level in the work environment varies from light to moderate.
· Flexible hours (week-ends, nights, holidays).
· Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
· Excellent organizational skills and strong interpersonal skills.
· Able to speak, read and write English.
· Must be able to operate and follow RF scan gun commands.
· Ability to walk, or stand for long periods of time; occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, stooping; good finger dexterity and feeling; frequent repetitive motions; talking, hearing and visual acuity.
· Ability to perform tasks that require reaching, bending and stooping and capable of frequent lifting (up to 50 lbs)
Training and Experience:
· Minimum of 1-2 years previous shipping experience
· Experience working with SAP and bill of ladings is preferred.
· Fork Lift experience.
Licenses/Certifications/Other:
· Must be able to pass background check as required to work for Vaughan Foods.
· Must be able to complete pre-employment drug test with a negative result.
