You are a versatile individual with demonstrated skills in web application development.  You are well prepared, deadline driven, highly organized and detail oriented.  You can balance multiple projects while working independently or as part of a high functioning team.  You love programming and can deliver timely, complete and professional results every time.  You take initiative, can give or take direction, and do what it takes to get the job done.

 

What you need …

·         Minimum post-secondary education with a web programming diploma/certificate.

·         2+ years of Php web programming (html, css, xml)

·         2+ years building database driven, object oriented applications

·         1+ years of Sql programming (e.g. Postgresql or MS Sql)

 

        What will give you an edge …

·         Knowledge of dynamic scripting e.g. JavaScript, Ajax, Flash

·         Administration experience in a LAMP environment (Linux, Apache, MySql, Php)

·         Experience managing Drupal or similar content management systems

·         Experience working with Sales Marketing in graphics design and/or marketing material creation

·         Proficiency with Adobe tools (Photoshop, Acrobat, Illustrator, etc.)

·         Development of materials/apps for new digital media e.g. social networking, smart phones

·         Experience of configurable products and/or a manufacturing/architectural industry

 

What you will be doing …

·         Developing new features and modules for Philips Ledalite’s web-based, integrated product quotation / configurator / pricing / document generation tool

·         Improving the software’s user interface and data interfaces to customer and back end systems

·         Working closely with marketing, sales, engineering and other programmers to support new product launches and the translation of complex product features into simple selections

·         Creating and maintaining tools, training, reports and documents to support the company’s external sales force

·         As needed, modifying the company’s web content management system (Drupal) and providing user support for the website and customer facing software tools
