Responsibilities
The WMA Business Manager role requires frequent communication with the CCO, Registered Supervisors and Registered Representatives of WMA, which includes all US based Relationship Managers, Business Developers, and Account Managers. The position will work closely with the Global Relationship Group - (GRG), Legal and Compliance, Marketing, Sponsored Products and IT to manage all aspects of WMA. The individual must be able to effectively communicate with each of these groups and act as a liaison between the business side (GRG) and the Legal/Compliance side of the firm. The position will work closely with these two groups to accomplish the following:

•Work closely with Legal and Compliance to identify, interpret, and implement business practices surrounding evolving regulatory rules,
•Design and implement processes and workflow related to the broker-dealer and the execution of such going forward,
•Work closely with regulatory bodies (FINRA, CFTC) as necessary to manage the business relationship, including but not limited to filings and examinations,
•Ensure all written supervisory procedures as filed under FINRA and CFTC are understood, implemented, and followed appropriately,
•Manage the ongoing supervisory requirements for all registered supervisors,
•Work closely with IT to build, innovate, and maintain technology infrastructure, design and manage training programs for supervisors, RR's, and their support teams,
•Manage and support marketing requirements
•Monitor regulatory changes and their impact on the business
•In addition, over time, this individual will be asked to take on oversight responsibilities for other regulatory requirements impacting GRG (US) as well as work closely with Operational Risk Management to oversee the annual audit processes

Qualifications
The ideal candidates for this role will have an undergraduate and or law degree and 7-10 years of relevant experience in a registered broker-dealer. Candidates are expected to be conversant in FINRA/CFTC rules and related guidance, have the ability to apply this knowledge to practical situations, and demonstrate a commercial orientation while adhering to all regulatory requirements. Qualifications for this position include excellent organizational skills, project management skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work independently and prioritize effectively. Strong Word and Excel skills and familiarity with database management tools are highly desirable. Experience working with regulators is a plus. Preference will be given to candidates with progress toward the CFA designation or a graduate level degree. A positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and sense of humor are absolutely required.
