Job Description Windows Systems Administrator (Job Number:302814) Description: SAIC is seeking a Windows System Administrator for an SCI/SAP environment in Huntsville, Alabama. Windows System Administration - Perform System Administration functions for virtualized Windows-server based Wide Area Network (WAN) and support Thin Client-based infrastructures to ensure compliance with Information Systems accredited for SCI and SAP processing. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES The duties will evaluate IAVA and software patches within a test bed environment, install hardware and software, develop scripts, methodically analyze, troubleshoot and resolve system faults. Individual should possess skills to optimize operating systems through system performance tuning measures to accommodate system and network hardware modification or upgrades. The candidate will support VMware virtual infrastructure, review and prepare procedural guides, standard operating procedures, and checklists for system management and in support for Protection Level (PL) 2 and 3 certification activity to include capability to execute and develop procedures to maintain compliance with JTF-GNO mandates and/or vendor-released patches and upgrades to all systems responsible. Qualifications: MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in a related field and 3+ years experience in a broad range of assignments in technical tasks directly related to the proposed area of responsibility. Additional experience may serve in lieu of a degree where individual shall possess 4+ years of operating and system experience, with 2+ years experience with Windows Server 2008-R2 and Windows 7 workstation deployment. Actively maintains an ESXi hypervisor architecture using VMware vSphere 4.x. Possess strong technical, written and verbal communication skills are essential. Ability to work in a team environment and excel independently is strongly desired. Having the knowledge and respect to embed information security in all aspects of deployment and sustainment is a requirement. Must be compliant with DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II.. ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS Desired certifications include Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP), and Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE).
