Wintel Messaging Support Engineer
About the role:
We are seeking an experienced Wintel Messaging Support Engineer to join our Enterprise Technology Division team and be responsible for Level 3 support issues across the bank. In this role you will own and resolve production issues escalated from L2. In addition you will be pro-active in identifying potential systems issues as well working closely with project teams to review operational readiness and contribute to solution designs where necessary.
Key responsibilities:
- Own and resolve production issues escalated from L2 Support
- Perform root cause analysis of incidents as well as providing solutions to the problems
- Build and maintain key stakeholder relationships
- Identify, report and fix poorly performing systems using agreed tools and processes
About you:
To be successful in this role as a Wintel Messaging Support Engineer you will be degree qualified in Computer Science or similar with proven support experience within complex enterprise environments (10,000+ Seats). You will have outstanding 3 rd Level Microsoft Windows experience with a particular focus on Exchange 2003 - 2010 along with the technical ability to lead any incident through to resolution. Finally you will also have the following:
- Strong Instant Messaging Experience (OCS or GroupChat)
- Sound understanding of Blackberry or Mobile Email
- Broad email gateway technologies experience (Anti Virus/Spam, Email Routing, Enterprise Vault)
- ITIL experience or experience working in a ITIL environment
