Description

The incumbent provides comprehensive support of the Workbench website to external and internal customers. S/he maintains subject-matter-expertise as the website continuously evolves. S/he evaluates, prioritizes, logs, and escalates all support requests and utilizes a call-tracking database to ensure continuity. S/he leverages solid knowledge of Mellon IAS and CMS systems to solve complex data issues. The incumbent hosts large-scale training sessions (10-50 participants) for external customers within a facility provided by the client (e.g. training room, conference room, lab, etc.). This typically requires overnight travel to the client's site. S/he interfaces with various Mellon IT departments and interacts with numerous lines of business and joint ventures. The incumbent develops browser-based applications for departmental automation. S/he performs database administration for call-center management application for large-scale deployment across multiple sites (configuration, back-up restore tasks, data integrity checks, system upgrades, custom reporting, and recurring metrics). Deployment and management of system includes international joint ventures in Canada and Europe. Once per quarter the incumbent works one 5-day week from 12:00midnight to 6:00AM.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or business administration required, with five years of business experience in the financial industry (including three years experience as a trainer). Incumbent must have a detailed knowledge of large-scale accounting and custody systems. S/he must possess highly developed communication skills, written and verbal. S/he must demonstrate precision intuitive problem-solving skills, and also thoroughness, patience, and resiliency. S/he must have extensive expertise with office automation software like Microsoft's Internet Explorer, Word, Excel, and significant experience with PowerPoint. Familiarity with Microsoft Access (or comparable database management system) is required. Programming experience or web-design experience is also preferred.
