Job Description – Programmer Analyst – Workday HCM Applications
Position Summary:
Programmer Analyst supports client’s Workday’s implementation, with a focus on the most strategic and complex projects. Position requires Analyst to work closely with the client’s project team to ensure the successful deployments of various integration products, tools, and services. Programmer Analyst will help manage the integration deliverables associated with Workday implementation projects. Programmer Analyst should have deep knowledge of service oriented architecture design principals, common ERP integration design patterns, in-depth knowledge of Workday’s various integration technologies, Workday’s Implementation methodology, and will combine those skills to drive integration deployment successes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design, Build, Test, and Deploy Integration solutions in Workday
- Ability to help resolve integration issues requiring a depth of expertise in the Workday solution
- Demonstrated integration experience in Human Resources, Payroll or Financials Management
- Contribute to the client’s ’s User experience with Workday’s integration products, tools, and services in a way that results in high customer satisfaction
- Research thoroughly all aspects of business process issues and recommend improvement solutions
- Work closely cross functionally to create schedule and deliverables by defining the scope, objectives, metrics and plan for both business process improvements and specific projects
- Drive solutions to business process issues and successful completion of specific projects
- Report on project / business process status highlighting critical paths and bottlenecks
- Manages the day-to-day operational aspects of the project and scope
- Effectively communicates relevant project information to business process owners and resolves issues in a timely fashion
- Maintains daily operation of vital business processes
- Delivers engaging, informative, well-organized presentations
- Be proficient in company and international quality management standards
- Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully
- Complies with and helps to enforce standard policies and procedures
Skill Set:
- Bachelor degree required.
- 2+ Years of Workday Integration Implementation experience
- 5+ years implementing integration solutions with ERP software
- 5+ years Human Resource, Payroll or Financial software application experience
- Command of Service Oriented Architecture Concepts
- EDI, Web Services, XML, XSLT, Java, .Net or other integration technologies
- WebLogic, WebSphere, WebMethods, or other middleware experience
- PeopleSoft, SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, Netsuite, Taleo, or other SaaS and On-Premise ERP systems
- Ability to work in diverse, fast paced environment and effectively collaborate across teams.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously
- Experience working in a start-up environment Team player who will work across the organization and company to continue improving the way we serve our customers.
- Excellent communication, sales, negotiation and presentation skills. Capable of leading and influencing large design meetings towards an effective and collaborative outcome
- Able to understand complex technical and process issues and facilitate decision making
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills – the ability to distill complex concepts into compelling, relevant and understandable presentations is paramount.
- Ability to learn Workday technology and applications quickly through instruction and self-training.
