Workstation Engineer

Job Description: The program is the Information Technologies / Information Services (IT/IS) program.
 
VDI (Visual Desktop Integration) West Workstation Installation Specialist is a member of an installation team with the purpose of utilizing existing experience to execute the mass replacement of workstations.   Responsibilities include the breakdown of existing systems, removal and proper disposal of existing equipment and installation of VDI equipment, and troubleshooting problems as they arise.   This includes insuring proper, well coordinated communications with the customer, maintaining required documentation of equipment, sanitizing hardware for disposal, updates to Change Management, DPAS updates, and resolving system integration issues as they arise during the deactivation process.  

Work location is Arnold, MO (NGA site) although once the installs are done in Arnold, they will move to St. Louis NGA site.
 
This position is 2nd shift, 2pm-10pm Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends and overtime as directed by deployment schedule and Project Manager.

Required Skills:
- Current and active TS/SCI clearance (no exceptions).
- CompTIA A+ certification (no exceptions).
- Ability to lift 70 lbs without assistance.
- This candidate should be familiar with Remedy and the change management process, and have strong able to work in a team structure in a high stress environment, working additional hours as needed to meet project deadlines, have strong verbal and written communication skills and be comfortable in a customer facing role.
 
Desired Skills:
- Experience with NGA (National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency).
 
Required Education (including Major): This position requires a BS/BA degree in an engineering or applicable field plus 2+ years of relevent experience.
