WSS Technology – ECM CFP Technical Lead – AVP – Based in London recruitment
Business Overview:
This role is part of a global team delivering new capabilities on the strategic WSS Credit Checking Utility ECM.
The ECM Utility provides credit checking functionality for WSS Credit Officers.
Clearance and Custody applications with in WSS use the ECM application to check securities trades and provide approval on these prior to releasing them to the market.
Team Description
The WSS technology team working on the ECM application is a global team, with members based in the UK and India.
ECM is part of an open architecture with links to key settlement, cash, pricing and reference applications. The ECM backend provides the core credit checking functionality and currently based on IBM iSeries, DB2, RPG.
A front end is being developed to provide a global centralised interface for credit transactions management and consolidate credit reporting. The front end technology integrates numerous open source tools - including: Spring, Hibernate, Maven and Hudson.
In addition, ECM will be interfaced to other applications within JP Morgan.
This will be done using several different technologies including: MQ messaging, JMS and Mule.
Key Responsibilities:Work with business analysts and technical architects to deliver the strategic technical direction of the ECM application within project delivering business functionality.Interact with representatives from the business to understand their requirementsDesign software to meet these requirements.Lead remote teams of developers to deliver to these designs.
This will include working with Vendor teams.Interact with other technology teams within the bank to ensure project is successful.
For example interact with the teams who provide hardware infrastructure.Adhere to IT Control Policies throughout design, development and testing and incorporate Corporate Architectural Standards into application design specificationsParticipate in code reviews and ensure all solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specificationsIdentify/troubleshoot application code-related issues, and review and provide feedback to any required final user documentationImplement all code and configuration components into test and production environmentsSpecifically work on a project to interface ECM with different applications within JP Morgan.
Qualifications
Your Background:You will have proven demonstrable experience within Java environmentProven experience
of Agile development methodology, such as Scrum or XP ideally within Financial servicesDemonstrated experience of defining the architecture and software designExperience of Test Driven DevelopmentDemonstratable
team lead experience of both on and offshore teamsA proactive approach to problem solving and decision makingProven experience in Object Oriented software designProven experience in a combination of the following the following technologies: Spring, Hibernate, Tomcat, JUnit, JSP, AJAX,Subversion, Maven, Hudson, JIRA.Solid hands on experience with the following technology : SQL, XML, JSON, LinuxProven experience using the following Messaging - MQ/JMS/Mule, Web Service, Java Multithreading, Security and PerformanceDesirables:Exposure to iSeriesExperience with the Financial Services industry experience is helpful, particularly in Securities Clearance.LocationLondon based Treasury Securities Services roles will be moving to Canary Wharf over the course of 2012.
