WSS Technology – MDR Java Developer – VP – Based in London recruitment
You will join a highly skilled, global team of Lead developers and architects and will be involved in all aspects of the product/project delivery lifecycle.
This role would suit an engineer with experience and a keen interest in data integration, model driven development and metadata driven development to help with the build out of these capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:Contribute to the Engineering of the tools necessary for the provision of Business Information Architecture practices and to support the metadata and model driven development initiativesAssist teams across WSS with adoption of the tools for model driven development
and meta data managementDevelopment and support of data lineage harvestersDevelopment and support of adapters to address Business needs and assist other teams with their adapter development.Liaise with geographically dispersed technical teams to ensure the automation of the load of data assetsPartner with existing vendor to ensure they meet the needs of J.P. Morgan.Support of application monitoring with regards to performance and headroom.Business Overview:The Business Integration team is responsible for Business and Information Architecture practices, standards, governance and tools used by the World Wide Securities Services division. This includes theMetadata management initiative that has delivered significant cost savings in excess of $10m for WSS and currently being adopted across al of WSS and by all divisions in the J.P. Morgan group; andModel driven development initiative that has successfully completed a proof of concept to auto-generate data integration adapters from business requirements captured in a structured form and related to business capabilities (products, services and processes)
Qualifications
Your Background:Java Developer with significant previous experienceDriven self-starter, highly motivatedMulti-disciplined IT backgroundUnderstand differing meta data formats, Relational DBs, XML, XSD, Cognos FW, Cobol Copybook, Erwin...Ability to produce high quality work in a pressured environmentAbility to manage prioritization of workload and demonstrate strong time management skillsDesirables:Experience with developing using the Eclipse frameworkIn-depth knowledge of XML/XSD schemasExperience in domain specific languages including Cobol, JavaComputer Science PHD or MSC or relevant work experienceExperience working within a well audited environment.
