Youth Worker We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Youth Worker to deliver a range of centre based and outreach services appropriate to the needs of young people aged 16-25 years who are experiencing homelessness. Our Youth Work Team aims to reduce homelessness amongst young people by: Helping young people access and sustain housing Increasing opportunities for young people through their participation in education, training and employment Working in collaboration with our government and community partners to better meet the needs of our clients Responsibilities include: Providing engaging services to young people as a part of a coherent Youth Work Team Intake and assessments of young people to identify level of need, risk factors and goals/ objectives In conjunction with the young person, implement a plan to achieve individual and program outcomes Provide tailored assistance to each young person, which may include mentoring, counselling, motivation, advocacy and skills development Ensure that targets and outcomes are achieved and contractual compliance is met Social Work Degree or relevant tertiary qualifications and demonstrated experience in the provision of support to marginalized young people will be highly regarded. You will be outcomes-focused and able to effectively manage your workload to achieve individual and program goals. The position is 76 hours p.f. - level 5 QCSCA Award and an attractive Salary Sacrifice option is available.
