Account Manager – South Germany (m/f)
Job Purpose:
Responsible for acquiring new and maintaining current profitable customers according to targets. She/He identifies/qualifies/leads and meets with prospects in order to acquire new customers. Account Managers also meet with current customers to ensure customer retention and to leverage up-selling opportunities.
Key responsibilities:
- Acquire new, profitable customers according to pre-set targets
- Identify and qualify leads; Segment leads and maintain an appropriate call frequency according to segments
- Make sales presentations to prospective customers based on a frequency required to acquire new customers
- Set and attain goals for conversion of Leads into customers
- Prepare sales proposals
- Monitor and maintain target customer profitability through effective targeting and price negotiations
- Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner at all times
- Use marketing materials to reinforce the CAH's competitive advantage and to gain new customers
- Maintain and grow current customers
- Identify opportunities to generate additional sales from current customers
- Segment current customer base and establish appropriate call frequency to drive retention
- Provide customers with additional services (bundling, cross selling) to maintain customer satisfaction and retain customers
- Service European Accounts
- Participate in the customer retention of European accounts on local national and international accounts
- Identify leads

Requirements:
- Degree qualified, ideally in a science or business related subject
- 5+ years of progressively increasing managerial experience in a pharmaceutical environment (It is essential that the position holder have experience of the pharmaceutical sector, ideally with knowledge in manufacturing and packaging of solid dosage forms).
- Successful selling experience
- A commercially orientated individual, with excellent interpersonal skills
- Fluent in spoken and written German and English.
