The Role - Account Manager
Seeking an energetic account manager for a small NYC-based growing team to service a large group of key accounts in the US and Canada. These clients are made up of asset managers, hedge funds, insurance companies, endowment funds, State Retirement funds, banks and corporate pension schemes. Ideal candidate has 2-5 years’ experience within the financial services industry managing relationships with senior investment professionals. We are looking for an entrepreneurial, tenacious self-starter and strong team player looking to grow alongside their colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain relationships with key account users
- Collate feedback on client's investment approach to distinguish where our product best fits
- Facilitate client use of services and interaction with economics and strategy teams
- Navigate through the structure of large clients to identify and pursue potential growth areas
- Gain word-of-mouth referrals to broaden user base within accounts
Requirements
- 2-5 years of experience within the financial services industry
- Proven track record of managing and growing relationships with buy-side institutions
- Experience and familiarity navigating through these types of firms targeting new end users
- Good understanding of the independent research space
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Excellent organization skills and ability to manage priorities
Preferences
-Bachelor's Degree (Economics preferred)
-Knowledge/experience of SalesLogix CRM software
