Treasury Executive (Commodities)

As a Treasury Executive sitting within the commodities trading department you are responsible for dealing with high volumes of settlements and confirmation of trades. Reporting of PL and answering/ investigating queries from external counter-parties and traders effectively and efficiently.

Your responsibilities will include but is not limited to:

-Supporting the commodity front office desks in local office and Asia office.

-Trade reconciliations, futures reconciliations, checking trade tickets for the local and Asia office for commodities.

-Cash and precious mental settlements, dealing with any discrepancies and queries.

-Creating and checking confirmations.

-Creating invoices and credit notes.

-Chasing outstanding confirmation and uploading trades into systems.

-Ordering of physical metal.

-Liaising with traders and external counter-parties.

-Uploading rates data into Kiodex/ DBTS systems on a daily basis.

-Creating, amending and working on Excel based reports.

-Reporting of PL, positions, risks and credit limits to risk department.

-Creating audit letters.

-Processing payments of monthly invoices, brokerage and shipping fees, commissions, VAT and energy invoices.

-Pro-actively identifying and suggesting ideas for process improvements creating work-flow efficiencies.

To qualify for the role you must have:

-Proven Treasury and reconciliations experience in a similar role.

-Previous experience working within a commodities/ energy department.

-Firm understanding of commodities.

-Advanced Excel skills (up to Macro level), strong at data manipulation.

-Systems experience including: SAP, Sunguard, Kiodex, ICE Econfirm.

-Strong eye for detail and pro-actively make recommendations for process improvements.

-Strong ability to work independently and manage own workload.

-Work under pressure and support team members.

-Understanding of a Japanese work environment.
