Actuarial Analyst recruitment

Other duties will include:
* Enhancing all aspects of data validation, valuation, and embedded value modelling.
* Validating all inputs for capital modelling for the ICAAP.
* Enhancing the Business Planning modelling process to incorporate expenses and make it quicker and easier to update.
* Risk monitoring and reporting for the Finance and Internal Audit teams
* Assist the Finance Actuary and the wider Finance team in the development, testing and application of financial models in the Finance Team.
* Provide challenge to approaches of financial modelling as identified in emerging best practice and regulation.
* Automate models so they can be easily updated with current data.
* Enhance existing models to be suitable for stress and scenario testing purposes.
* Develop ad-hoc models as deemed useful by the business.
* Develop clear and concise reporting methods for the output of Excel and Prophet models.
* Run Prophet models and extract the data for reporting purposes.
* Where necessary, develop Prophet for new products/sales channels etc.
* Conduct investigations to update the Prophet assumptions.
* Assist the Sales Accountant with the development of Prophet models and assumptions for specific special deals.
* Conduct investigations to identify trends in data (sales/persistency/demographics etc).
* Communicate key issues and solutions to management and the Executive by producing clear, concise and timely reports and presentations.
* Assist in the preparation of ICAAP.
* Ensure that knowledge is kept up to date of evolving regulatory requirements regarding capital modelling.
* Deputise for the Finance Actuary for risk reporting purposes when necessary.
* Work with the other team members assisting them when needed particularly during month end.
* Be a back-up administrator for the Finance systems used
* Develop and enhance own technical, inter-personal and financial modelling skills, and business awareness / acumen.

o Undertakes continual professional development relevant to role and in line with minimum requirements.

Qualifications:
* Educated to graduate level or equivalent
* Relevant actuarial qualifications
* Highly Numerate
* Knowledge of Business Disciplines (e.g. Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, IT)

Experience:
* Embedded Value Reporting
* Excel expert
* Competence with other Microsoft Office applications.
* Actuarial exam success
* VBA and SQL advantageous if not, proven programming ability
* Experience in some of the following:
o Prophet programming
o Regulatory reporting
o ICAAP, ICA, Solvency II
o Life company/platform
o Pricing/Unit cost/Profitability
