Analyst – Asset Projection recruitment

We are currently seeking to recruit an Analyst for an Asset Project team on behalf of our client, an exceptional company with a superb reputation in the financial services field. This is an excellent opportunity to further your career in a progressive forward thinking and growing organisation. 

As part of the Asset Projection team, you will play a vital role in financial modelling work (predominantly pensions) and also provide support and advice to external clients. The role will provide a unique opportunity to interface with external clients, technical teams and leading and contributing to development, research and consultancy projects.

A key part of the role will focus on understanding client requirements for pension products and you will be expected to provide training and support to clients in relation to potential products or services available. You will develop modelling solutions using stochastic /Monte Carlo simulations models to external clients.

Profile:

We are looking to speak with candidates that ideally have 2-3 years’ experience within a life insurer or pensions consultancy. Academically, we are looking for candidates who hold a minimum of a first degree in finance, mathematics, mathematical sciences or computing would be preferred as well as a post graduate degree or professional qualification (CFA, FRM, Actuarial etc).

Excellent IT skills will be essential and extensive experience with EXCEL and VBA is mandatory. Ideally, you will also have knowledge of other languages such as C#, R etc. The role will involve working with stochastic models and experience working using these in industry would be beneficial. Nevertheless, candidates who have academic knowledge of stochastic models and show the ability to learn will also be considered. Aside from the technical, you must have proven communication skills with the ability to structure your approach and ensure you are able to appropriately engage internally and externally.
