Overview
The Global Commodities General Management team Deutsche Bank Global Markets Research division, and based on the trading floor at Winchester House.
Our team is primarily focused on systematic model research in Foreign Exchange (FX) and Commodities, with our strategies implemented both internally and externally.
Key Responsibilities
In your role as an Analyst you will be working on research, development and (internal) implementation of systematic trading models. Our team focuses on FX and Commodities, however some of the trading models are replicated to other asset classes as well.
Your day to day work will encompass both spot and options markets. However experience does not need to be specific to FX nor to high frequency, nor to a particular type of product (spot/options).
As part of your day to day role you will also interact with different Trading, Sales, Research and IT desks in different asset classes across the globe.
You will be trained on our model trading framework.
Candidate requirements
You will have:
- Experience or strong interest in systematic strategies either through work, academia or in your personal time.
- Strong mathematical skills – you must be comfortable with high level mathematics.
- Strong coding skills, ideally including a high level (i.e. MATLAB, R) and a low level (i.e. C++) programming language. Most of the Research and Development will likely be done in MATLAB.
- A background in pattern recognition is desirable, though not a pre-requisite.
- Some project management skills.
- PhD-level training is desirable but not a pre-requisite.
You will be:
- Degree qualified (or equivalent).
- A systematic thinker.
- A good communicator.
- Able to work independently on multiple tasks.
