Application Support Analyst – Hedge Fund
My client is a well-known hedge fund based in London. An opportunity has come up for an Application Support Analyst to join the front office team. This is a chance for a switched on, pro-active and motivated individual to seriously grow their career in the investment management world.
Responsibilities:
•Support of systems applications across all areas front to back
•Responsible for performing training, user configuration and permissioning associated with on-boarding new users
•Dealing with user System Application queries and issues, ranging from simple technical tasks to complex business issue investigations.
•Form a close working relationship with development teams to communicate user requirements, identify common support issues (including root cause) and recommend changes to improve future platform supportability.
•Assisting with some degree of testing new releases in a UAT capacity and also manage some production releases.
•There may be a requirement to work staggered shifts to cover global trading times. There will be occasional weekend work.
Requirements:
•Previous experience working within financial services
•Good C# and SQL skills
•An understanding of VBA, VB. Net, Java
•Excellent communication skills and translating technical requirements
•Proven track record in building strong relationships with various business users
