Posted Position Title: Assembly Test Organization / Repair Team Leader Career Level: Experienced Function Engineering/Technology Function Segment: Product Definition Location: United States U.S. State, China or Canada Provinces: Ohio City: Cincinnati Postal Code: 45215-1988 Relocation Assistance Yes Role Summary/Purpose: The Assembly Test Organization (ATO) / Repair Team Leader will provide overall leadership for the Product Definition Engineering effort in support of the ATO and Repair organizations. This includes Instrumentation, Test Facilities, Support Equipment Tooling, In-Process drawings, and Repair Tooling. This role involves significant interaction with domestic purchase suppliers, domestic resources, internal resources, and a variety of engineering functions. Essential Responsibilities - Provide and oversee product definition engineering deliverables such as UG 3D models, drawings, Change Documents and designs pertinent to ATO and Repair hardware - Estimate, track, and manage the ATO / Repair PDE budget, resource planning across internal, domestic and purchase service sites, and formulating and tracking schedules, First Time Yield (FTY), and cost - Work within the guidelines of applicable GE Policies and Procedures, Engineering Standards, Product Definition Operating Procedures, Specifications, Government and Commercial Standards, and special security requirements - Evaluate and influence new and revised Engineering Standards and Product Definition Operating Procedures - Ensure all interface characteristics between components are established and agreed upon by the designers of mating parts - Collaborate effectively between organizations to assure part design compatibility - Concurrently manage multiple projects, monitoring progress and quality, and ensuring schedule requirements are met - Assume a leadership role in the overall accomplishment of goals and in the direction and development of Product Definition Engineering (PDE) team members Qualifications/Requirements: - Bachelors Degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college OR an Associates Degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of Product Design OR a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 15 years of professional experience Additional Eligibility Qualifications GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening.
