Overview:

The Enterprise Data Management team is seeking a Market Data Analyst interested in a move into management with the associated skills and capability to support that. The role will support the EMEA Operations unit, based in London. The successful candidate will work as part of an existing team and will report to the Market Data Manager, EMEA. The role is expected to develop into the EMEA Market Data Manager over time but will immediately assume the responsibility for the market data team in London.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Day to day oversight of a team of 5 analysts

• Internal Application management: ensure compliant use of all data, managing permissions in DACS, monitoring usage, tracking charges in MDM and maintaining accurate details in the Application Database

• Exchange and Vendor Audits: Regularly review vendor and exchange policies with regards to user and application use, implementing any necessary commercials and procedures to ensure compliance and execute regulatory onsite 3rd party audits

• Direct Market Access: Work closely with the Business, Technology and Market data Technical teams to execute and maintain DMA contracts with the exchanges, manage the monthly costs and monthly client declaration

• Data Notifications and Quarterly Change: Meet regularly with the vendors to review and implement any data changes affecting Internal applications

• Project Management including software upgrades for Market Data applications, liaising with Market Data Technical and Desktop

Essential:

• Thorough understanding of Market Data Commercial within a financial institution, providing Market Data support.

• A good knowledge of the international Equity and Fixed Income market place

• Working knowledge of MDSL’s 'Market Data Manager' and an understanding of Crystal Reports

• Knowledge of DACS is essential

• Ability to explore product usage with trading users and management.

• Familiarity with data content and application functionality from the major market data vendors.

• Involvement in projects from inception to successful conclusion.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential

Desirable:

• Knowledge of reference data contracts would be beneficial but not essential

• An understanding of control environments and reporting and how Management information plays a part in effective management.
