Assistant Payroll Manager recruitment

As a key member of the HR Operations team, the assistant payroll manager is responsible for the controlling and processing of the RBC Dexia UK payrolls onto ADP

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES – RBC Dexia  

Processing of new starter details including all gross earnings and complex payments and deductions including pension and statutory items on ADP

Processing of leavers – Including holiday pay and season ticket adjustments

Processing of transfers – Ensuring correct statutory/benefit deductions are being withheld as per the contract

Ensuring statutory payments and deductions are administered and calculated correctly via ADP

Ensuring all variable data, including housing allowances, bonuses, tax code changes, are processed correctly and on time

Review of maternity and paternity payments via the payroll to ensure statutory rules are adhered to. This includes processing of enhanced company payments

Paying and processing of all compromise agreements within the required timeframe and ensuring all statutory rules have been adhered to.

Running pre and post payroll reports for reconciliation of the months payroll

General Ledger processing and upload of monthly payroll costs to EBS. Also will include supp payroll runs processed within the period.

Liaise with Finance with queries rising from the GL to EBS

First line of contact for all queries relating to the payroll processing both internally and externally.

Reconciliation of various payroll/expat monthly accounts as per PEGA guidelines

Reconciliation of monthly payment of PAYE NIC 

Reconciliation of the annual P.14/P.35 return submission to HMRC

Uploading of P.60’s to ADP Employee Self Service

Expat Administration – Including opening bank accounts and applying for NIC forms

PWC/KPMG relationship – Provide required comp data in order to complete employee tax returns, help with general queries, process monthly invoices and recharges

Internal/External Auditors – Preparation co coordinating of payroll data

Preparation of ¼ expat invoices for payment by employee/employer

Preparation and processing of worldwide NI reconciliation for expats

inputting/Authorisation of manual journals via EBS

Update/Review Payroll Procedures on a monthly basis

EDUCATION /OR EXPERIENCE

Previous and demonstrative exoeriencve of working in a similar role within Banking or Finance ideally

PC Literate to a high standard

Ability to relate to and interpret HR and Business processes

High levels of accuracy and attention to detail

Experience of delaing with HMRC

Would be beneficial

Extensive knowledge of ADP Freedom

Experience of working in a busy fast paced payroll environment

? Responsible for the processing and reconciliation of the payrolls pre and post commit and to ensure all statutory obligations are adhered to.
