Associate Account Manager

Accountable for the successful execution of business processes and administrative requirements for labor and trust accounts. Establishes and maintains relationships with front line benefit contacts that support business strategies. Manages business processes that support achieving and maintaining optimal business position. Monitors accounts and book-of-business to identify early indications of risks and opportunities. Optimizes potential for sustainable growth through improving business relationship.
Essential Functions:
- Analyzes and improves risk position in a group
- Renews group at the right rate
- Renews group with the right product and benefit mix
- Effectively consults with front line benefit contracts to demonstrate value and build commitment to Kaiser Permanente
- Positions Account Administration as a reliable resource
- Manages own book of business for accurate account administration
- Leads and manages implementation of group renewal process
- Uses pricing and products to create opportunities for growth
- Uses knowledge network (or other) resources to ensure successful implementation of account strategies
- Proposes activities that target opportunities to position organization for future growth
- Collects, reviews and monitors performance data to support account strategy
- Contributes to team's success by sharing learnings and specialty expertise. Provides feedback to other team members in appropriate, professional, constructive manner
- Seeks to continuously improve integrity of process and better align to meet process performance measures. Identifies and communicates opportunities for improvement. Participates in assessing and evaluating ideas. Implements enhancements or modifications as appropriate

Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Three years of experience in marketing, business development, and/or managing business to business relationships
- bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or related field or equivalent related experience.
- Valid Hawaii Producer's Accident and Health Insurance license (must meet education requirement(s) for Hawaii State licensure) (must obtain within six months of hire)
- Valid driver's license
- Demonstrated skills in customer service and account administration
- Demonstrated job specific knowledge of and skill in analytical thinking, business systems, building customer loyalty, consultative selling, Kaiser Permanente organization/values/legacy, Kaiser Permanente pricing, Kaiser Permanente products, support sales implementation, and teamwork
- Demonstrated extensive knowledge of and skill in word processing, spreadsheet, and mainframe operations relating to collections PC applications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Sales experience in a healthcare industry
- One year of experience working with organized labor
