Focus: Legal / Credit onboarding for Hedge Fund Clients

Organized and self-motivated individual with 3 - 5 years legal and/or credit experience relating to hedge funds or similar alternative assets, to join the Global Transition team within the Global Prime Finance business. This person will be located in Jacksonville and work closely with Transition colleagues in NY. Responsbilities will include: 

Managing client pipeline including running regular meetings with Sales and Legal, setting priorities, delivering against target go-live dates.

Building strong Client Relationships with priority clients.

Supporting senior Transition team members on large, more complex on-boardings or projects.

Liasing actively with Credit and Legal to coordinate priorities and deliverables

ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

 Ability to work under tight deadlines

Serve as point of quality assurance and risk mitigation with regard to business terms, credit terms and margin terms in legal agreements

Gain proficiency in Bank Information Systems and Infrastructure in support of the Global Prime Finance business: Onboarding tools/databases, Trade capture processes, Portfolio acctg, Risk management, Account hierarchies, Client KYC static data, quality assurance techniques and MIS databases.

Fosters a common, repeatable and scalable on-boarding process methodology which can be deployed on a Global basis

Maintains client-facing issues/status reports

Efficiently utilize product and support staff globally to meet all client on-boarding project related deadlines

Gain proficiency in hedge fund legal structures and infrastructure/operational needs

Keep abreast of Regulatory changes as applicable to client base

Acquire/Demonstrate a working knowledge of the life of a trade in various asset classes

Assist in materials preparations, demonstrations of core platforms to new clients   

KNOWLEDGE EXPERIENCE:

 Demonstrates interpersonal skills to work effectively with others; display ability to communicate client profile/needs and expectations across product and regional lines and effectively manage client timeline expectations

Working knowledge of third-party vendor platforms (Admin, Audit, OMS/EMS, Legal, Risk, IT, Middle/Back office)

Minimum of 1- 2 years of Prime Finance experience and a total of 2-5 + years of professional investment banking experience. Focus areas should include: Sales/Trading support, Client Services, New Accounts, Project Management.

Strong oral and written communications skills

Detailed oriented with demonstrated analytical ability

Demonstrate organizational/project management/presentation skills,

Must be able to work in global, multi-cultural environment

Must demonstrate ability to acquire requisite operational skills, business concepts, product and client requirements

Managing prioritizing multiple urgent requests while managing limited support resources.

Maintain highest level of control around critical workflows affecting risk, margin and profitability. Offer/implement improvements where needed.

Prioritize the workflow of supporting teams (onsite/outsourced)

Gain proficiency in regulatory and control environments that surround the Global Prime Finance business

Must be an effective conduit between (among others) the Sales, product lines, Operations, IT, Legal, Compliance and BAC to ensure a coherent and consistent message is delivered to the Clients (internal and external) at all times during the on-boarding process.
