Associate/VP Project Finance – Oil & Gas/Power/Energy
Unique and fantastic opportunity on offer for a leading Asian investment bank in Houston to join the Oil Gas Project finance team.

Role:
- Travel will be required to pitch for projects and you will be expected to actively be involved in all steps of the project finance process from start to end (more junior team members will be heavily involved in running sensitivities/creating from scratch their own financial models and you will be responsible for coordinating this team, whilst having an emphasis on origination).
- Originate new project finance arranging, advising and lending opportunities as well as obtain mandates and/or execute high status project finance transactions;
- Prepare credit applications and other internal documents in order to obtain appropriate internal approvals for the group to pursue project financing transactions
- You will be exposed to a wide variety of transactions across Oil Gas/Power/Energy.
- Role will be to structure and eventually distribute project and structured finance related transactions covering all relevant geographies.
- You will focus on Origination, Underwriting, Structuring and Execution of project finance deals in Oil Gas/Power/Energy for North America
- You are responsible for marketing and negotiation with over 80 (financial and industrial sponsors) in the US and will be responsible for overseeing juniors writing pitch books, pricing, modeling documentation for deal opportunities and administration
- Role offers a diverse responsibility for clients in North America
- Help oversee advanced financial models in coordination with clients and technical junior members of staff
Requirements:
- My client can only hire project finance candidates who already have exposure to North American deals
- Desirable to cover Oil Gas/Power/Energy
- No language skills required.
- My client can hire a VP level candidate
- Essential to have substantial experience in project finance lending/ arranging long term financial solutions/ non recourse acquisitions finance or asset based financing
- Advanced level Excel (or equivalent) software skills necessary for modeling contractual and technical parameters of a project, and performing sensitivities;
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Effective oral and written communication skills
