AVP/VP Algorithmic Trading/Quant Trader – can look at C++, Java, C# Front Office Developer to cross train( Role Based in Singapore) recruitment
A very unique opportunity is available within a top tier Investment Bank for a front office technologist to move into the business and become a quant developer/trader.
The quant developer/trading strategist will work as part of the front-office team on the FX floor in Hong Kong with a primary focus on the FX markets of Asian currencies. The environment is fast-paced and challenging. The individual must be responsible, independent and able to work in smooth coordination with the larger team to drive the desk's revenue. Travelling is expected in order to work in close partnership with the sales and trading expertises in various countries in Asia.
The group is accountable to trading revenue. Apart from driving the revenue, members of the team are also expected to cover a wide range of responsibilities. These include designing trading and execution strategies; researching micro-patterns and trends; building, maintaining and upgrading applications tools; supporting day-to-day operation.

Requirements
Strong academic background in a numerical subject
Experience working in a front office software development (C++, Java or C#) role working closely with the traders
Ideal business knowledge would include Algorithmic Trading of either Equity, Futures Options, Fixed Income or FX products
A desire to move into a quant developer/trader position
Work with trading professionals in various countries to tailor pricing algorithms for individual currency
Derive manual/semi-manual/automatic hedging solutions with risk managers to extract the best values out of our flows
Work in close collaboration with sales to explore ways to expand our e-commerce footprint in the region
Look for unique automated trading opportunities in Asia to drive our trading revenue
Algo trading strategies are built using Java and Python technology (we will consider any OO development background as you will have the opportunity to cross train into Java and Python)
