Invensys Rail is expanding its operations across Asia Pacific and to give vigour to our continued growth and expansion into new markets, we have an opportunity for a dynamic and innovative systems engineer to be part of our dedicated Tendering Team based in Singapore.
The Bid Engineer role is a newly created role reporting to the Proposal Manager-Mass Transit. The primary function of the role is to assist the Solution Architects in delivering high quality technical proposals that fully address our customer's needs.
Accountabilities:
- Participate in the definition of the technical solution for a bid with a specific focus on the preparation of the Bill of Materials
- Participate in the development, writing and provision of technical information for tenders and proposals
- Work with the Solution Architects and the other internal technical stakeholders to improve the standards and tools used for tendering activities
Essential Competencies:
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or allied discipline, or significant rail related work experience
- Previous experience in Systems Engineering, Project Engineering, the Design of safety critical or safety related real-time systems
- Experience in test and installation environments
- Specific knowledge of railway systems and technology
