Responsibilities

- Business Analysis – Assist senior staff with development of new business identification and analysis process. Maintain and further enhance process. Key responsibilities include:
- Daily/Weekly/Monthly analysis of transactions in the William Blair Mutual Funds using multiple data interfaces
- Liaison between multiple business units to assign new transactions to proper sales channels
- Daily interaction with internal sales desk to support the data needs of the retail distribution channel
- Create, maintain, and update advisor focus lists within the retail distribution channel
- Ensure proper assignments continue to flow into downstream applications
- Creation of daily management reporting
- Calculation of sales force compensation
- Update the retail channel’s business assumptions for quarterly forecasting
- Strategic Analysis – Apply knowledge of systems to enhance advisor profiles, improve client prospecting, and assist with the marketing strategy of the retail distribution channel Develops and maintains best practices across the global research team. Participates in other projects as requested by management.
- Project Management – Supports senior staff with the planning, analysis and implementation of projects of a complex nature. Responsible for data gathering and analysis, documenting process flows, project tracking, testing and implementation.
- Participate in other duties as assigned by senior management.

Qualifications
- College degree required; BA in Finance, Accounting or General Business preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in financial services.
- Series 7 and 66 (or 63 and 65) licenses preferred.
- A strong work ethic and a demonstrated ability to work well independently and in a team setting.
- An understanding of investment management business, business operations, and retail mutual fund distribution.
- Working knowledge of Salesforce.com, Salesvision or other sales management software
- Delivers clear, effective communication and commits to understanding others.
- Demonstrates initiative and persistence.
- Able to exercise independent judgment.
- Advanced Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills.
- Strong problem solving skills.
- Maintain a working knowledge of all regulatory requirements, laws, internal policies, and professional standards.
- Commits to satisfying internal and external customers.
