We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Business Analyst, Global Markets - Contract.
In this role, you will
- Documenting any changes to current Global Markets (GM) front-office operating model resulting from the project
- Defining various task lists to feed into the Project Management plan
- Document front-to-back understanding product flows, amendments, cancellations, life-cycle events, and exception handling
- Documenting risks issues regarding the project as they relate to Global Markets
- Mapping counterparties
- Documenting Business Requirements for systems enhancement within the front office
- Documenting any changes to the Standard Operating Procedures for the Global Markets front office
- Co-ordinating testing with IT and the front-office - doing front-office testing where appropriate
- Draft Intra Group Service Agreements (IGSA) Performance Level Agreements (PLAs) and Functional Instruction Manual Dispensations for GM front-office
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements
- Familiarity with the Global Markets business model: front-to-back product understanding for one or more of equities, fixed income, credit and FX
- Strong business analysis skills, evidencing a structured approach to the collection, documentation presentation of data
- Knowledge of key front office systems (eg Summit/Sophis)
- Good stakeholder management / influencing skills, and notably the ability to work with colleagues who are geographically dispersed
- Independent thinking, showing an ability to find ways of solving or pre-empting problems
- Demonstrable ability to work both as part of a team and self-sufficiency to take the initiative as appropriate
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: able to operate at all levels within the organization (senior product management through to technical/operational Subject Matter Experts)
- Driven and self-motivated, and able to work well independently, as well as part of a team
- Competent at drafting - technical and non-technical authorship
- Able to work well with time pressure enforced by pressured delivery dates
For an important upcoming project at HSBC across a multiple divisions, we require a number of Business Analysts to join the team in Hong Kong on a contract basis to ensure any impact of this project specifically from a Global Markets business perspective is fully analysed.
