Business Analyst (Ops Change)
AGS on behalf of RBS represents contract and temporary opportunities for RBS MIB (Markets and International Banking). We have an outstanding contract opportunity for a Contra-Revenue Business Analyst to make their mark with one of the world's largest international banking and financial services companies. In the role of a Contra-Revenue Business, you will play an integral role in helping our client deliver market leading services that set it apart from its competitors. Operations spans all our key territories, employing around 2,100 staff globally. It's our job to ensure all trades are cleared and settled swiftly and accurately on behalf of our clients. The expertise of our team encompasses fixed income, currencies and commodities, rates and equity securities
The Contra revenue programme, whilst aligned to Operations, is part of the RBS' strategic cost management Programme, which is tasked with creates sustainable value by driving operational efficiencies through transparency and control over our cost base. The main pillars of our strategic cost mgmt agenda are;
Additional Position Details:
- Be able to identify, package, structure and drive initiatives, projects or a programme of work with clear deliverables and benefits
- Have specific business or management knowledge that can be clearly brought to bear in improving what and how Production and Change can be improved
- Form and maintain key relationships of mutual trust and respect, which fosters a climate of collaboration
- Manage and influence a diverse range of staff, across a broad range of functions and disciplines, often comprising staff with no direct reporting line.
- Bring drive, energy and enthusiasm to any particular initiative, inspiring others to continually perform at the best
- Be able to constructively challenge processes, approaches, attitudes, where this will result in improvement or value to MIB, or to bring ideas, improvements and support
- Be able to solve complex problems across a broad range of disciplines (functional as well as project-orientated). To be able to understand the bigger picture and ensure relative priority and perspective is brought to bear
- Have the ability to work well in a team, in a pressurised environment where not all structures, processes, hierarchies, etc are clearly formulated or may change rapidly
- Be a self starter and be able to adapt to change
- To be able to identify risks, assess and quantify their impact, and develop actions or plans that mitigate those risks manifesting themselves
- Understand, define and deliver on set targets, deadlines and deliverables
- Establish and manage project budgets/forecasts where appropriate
