The Business Developer, Sourcing is responsible for identifying new partner opportunities in the loyalty or membership space to grow our B2B online research panel.  This role is responsible for understanding and communicating our plan to grow the B2B online panel and our value proposition.  Working with the Director, Source Development, this role will be responsible for identifying new prospects, cold calling, customizing a strategy for each prospect, leveraging internal resources to assist in the proposal, closing the deal and organizing the hand off to the team that will manage day-to-day once the account is closed.  The individual must work to meet or exceed company’s B2B growth goals.    

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

These include the following. Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of management in the context of the role. 

1.

Identify and research potential partner opportunities in the B2B space, make cold calls to uncover key decision makers.

2. 

Develop sales strategy and tactics for prospective partners where their loyalty program or membership list would be a good fit for us to recruit to our B2B panel. 

3.

Deliver customized pitch, write proposal tailored to the partner’s loyalty program, develop projected revenue model and follow up with next steps.

4.

Work with internal department members to make sure the deal is in line with our growth plans and for support on reward design, creative, testing, etc.

5.

Close the deal.  This may involve face-to-face meetings with decision makers and appropriate follow-up activity. 

 

 

REQUIRED SKILLS QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:

·         Bachelor’s degree in related field. 

·         5+ years business development/ account management experience with demonstrated success in growing and managing accounts.  Experience with large account sales managing complex sales in large organizations, engaged with C-level decision makers.

Specialized Skills:

·         Expert Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. 

·         Strong math skills, understanding of revenue share models.

·         Hunter mentality

·         Contacts in the loyalty space helpful

·         Experience presenting to C-level executives in large group settings
