Business Development Director recruitment
The main responsibilities of the Business Development Director within a tobacco company will be to:
• Conduct and lead delegated MA/ business development projects from their initial phase through implementation or rejection, depending on Management’s decision. This will include: co-ordination with responsible line management as preparation of financial, commercial and strategic analysis of various business development opportunities
• Provide scoping, lead and co-ordinate functional and regional resources in the preparation of feasibility studies and Authorization Requests for identified projects, and promote the approval of such projects through the clients authorization process
• In conjunction with relative Region’s line management, lead or support negotiations of key governmental or other agreements required to successfully implement identified projects; independently monitor and ensure the appropriate implementation of such agreements in conjunction with Regional Counsel
• Maintain an acute awareness of government and competitor strategies throughout the operating environment, alerting Senior management to potential economic advantages/penalties in quantifiable forms and alternative counter-strategies
Candidates will be accustomed to present at highest level and to interact with senior management. Priority will be given to candidates who are currently working in a multicultural and international environment such as London. They should have a proven track record of MA transactions, business development initiatives. strong analytical skills, excellent understanding of financial statements, valuation methods as well as superior project management skills and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
