Business Development Manager
There is an exciting opportunity for a highly self-motivated, Business Development Manager with platform sales experience, who enjoys working as part of a dynamic and high-performing team, within a collaborative working environment.

Wealth management is comprised of a number of smaller end-to-end businesses that focus on the investment and insurance markets.
The Retail Business Development team is responsible for servicing independent and CBA-aligned financial advisers to retain and grow FUA on CFS Platform products.
About the role
Reporting to the State Manager, Retail Sales, the Business Development Manager has responsibility for sales and business development activities within the specified region as directed.
You will be expected to perform the following tasks in a manner consistent with CBA'a Value's of Excellence, Integrity, Collaboration, Accountability and Service.
- Provide ongoing service and support to intermediaries on your identified panel regarding all aspects of Platform products;
- Conduct Platform sales campaigns and drive sales as directed by State Manager and the Strategic Accounts team as required;
- Increase sales and revenue based on panel and campaign activity, meeting set KPIs;
- Identify and convert platform-to-platform transition opportunities;
- Report monthly on business activity, campaigns and market related information;
- Identify and deliver quality referrals to other specialists in the CBA group, namely investment and insurance products
- Represent CFS at client seminars, Adviser PD days and Dealer Group conferences as required;
What will help you succeed?
- Tertiary qualifications (preferably in Commerce/Business/Economics/Accounting) will be highly regarded;
- Minimum RG146 required;
- Proven sales skills within the financial services markets
- A full understanding of how Platforms work, both from an industry perspective and as they relate to Colonial First State;
- Strong inter-personal communication skills with individuals at all levels of seniority - both written and verbal;
- Strong presentation skills with audiences of varying numbers;
- Demonstrable organisational and time management skills and an ability to work unsupervised;
- Valid Drivers Licence is required for this role;
- Occasional domestic or overseas travel may be required
