The Business
Local Businesses Banking is a fundamental business stream within the Commonwealth Bank Group and supports a range of small to medium sized businesses across Australia.
Within the Local Business Banking division sits the Broker, Agency and Specialist Sales, Asset Finance Lending Solutions team. The Asset Finance team are responsible for originating and executing the asset financing needs of clients sourced through accredited asset finance intermediaries.
The Role
The Business Development Manager provides premium customer service and sales to our accredited nominees through our Broker and Agency Sales arrangements with the key responsibility to identify cross-selling opportunities with existing customers and providing resolution at first point of contact.
Responsibilities include:
- Credit assessment and origination of asset finance transactions
- Ongoing, proactive management of existing customer portfolios to determine further scope for lending
- Relationship management of a key third party stakeholder relationship and also numerous internal CBA relationships
- Compliance checking and signing off conditions to ensure all deals have met our criteria before proceeding to settlement
- Understanding, preparing and executing documentation for asset finance master lease transactions
- Accurate recording of all asset finance applications that are received, assessed and funded
- Point of contact and resolution for issues that may arise from our third party stakeholder
The Candidate
In order to be successful in this role the desired candidate will have:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong relationship management skills
- Strong credit and risk assessment skills and commercial acumen
- Excellent workflow management skills and ability to prioritise effectively and work unsupervised
- Experience with documentation compliance
- A good understanding of business banking products and systems
- FSRA Tier 2 Accreditation (not essential but advantageous)
- Industry related tertiary qualifications (not essential but advantageous)
