Business Development Manager recruitment

Summary Profile:

The Steel Development Group focusses on investment and projects related to the steel products industry including steel making and steel used for the energy, automotive, food and construction industries.  The Business Development Manager will support the General Manager in analysing and promoting investment for new and existing projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the GM in the promotion of investment

• Project management 

• Reporting the status of projects to the project sponsor and other colleagues

• Feasibility studies on projects including financial appraisal, manpower planning, site selection, business and cash flow planning

• Manage the relationship with associated joint-venture companies

• Guidance on commercial issues including legal, financial and risk management

• Communication with business partners

Relationships:

• Investment partners

• Corporate Department (Legal, CRM, Finance, Accounting, Logistics)

• Colleagues at other offices' steel departments and companies

• CPA, Lawyers, and Bankers

• Companies involved in investment, project type business and MA

Skills/ Knowledge:

• Knowledge of Legal issues

• Knowledge of finance and accounting including financial reports, B/S and P/L statements

• Adequate knowledge of investment (able to make F/S of project), valuation

• Some knowledge of steel industry is preferred but is not essential

• Ability to meet deadlines but flexible enough to account for unforeseen events

• Basic understanding of Mergers Acquisitions - preferable

• Project Management skills techniques - preferable

Experience:

Sufficient experience for handling investment, project type business or MA

Education:

Graduate level or more in a business related degree
