Business Intelligence Manager | 6+ month contract | Government role
The Business Intelligence Manager leads the implementation and management of this Government department’s databases, data warehousing and spatial information systems.
This position is responsible for ensuring that these critical BI systems are aligned to deliver high quality information and that the organisation can derive maximum synergy from their use.
The current environment is SAP BW on oracle database.
At present this role involves design, development review, change control, customer relationship management and vendor management.
Over the next few months, this department is looking to implement SAP Business Objects so there will be contract and implementation negotiations and possibly overseeing implementation.
This role involves;
- Change management
- Database management - the successful candidate will be involved in design, development review, change control, costumer relationship management and vendor management. Occasionally hands-on assistance will be necessary to help with workload.
- IT Architecture - There will be some heavy involvement in discussions about the architecture for the whole stack including storage, virtual machines, DB servers, DBs, operating systems, application and disaster recovery.
