Business Intelligence Reporting Analyst
Responsibilities
Scope of Role
The candidate can be located, anywhere within the Citizens branch footprint (which includes the New England states, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Illinois and Ohio), working virtually from home with occasional access to a CFG office.
The Enterprise Data Initiative Program (EDI) which is led by the Enterprise Information Management unit (EIM) is seeking a Business Intelligence / Report Analyst for the Business Intelligence / Reporting team that is a part of the Transaction Workstream. This EDI program presents interesting and challenging opportunities for the appropriate candidate. The goal of the program is to build an enterprise data warehouse to allow for consistent MIS reports and analytics. The candidate will collaborate with many different areas within Citizens Financial Group, including business users. The Transaction Workstream area is comprised of three teams: Business Intelligence / Reporting, Data Sourcing and a Support Team (BAU).
The Business Intelligence / Reporting Analyst will be ensuring that necessary data and calculations are available in the data warehouse so that appropriate reporting is possible. The successful candidate will :
- Work with the Requirements team to develop the detailed data requirements for reporting and analytics
- Decompose metrics to their atomic data level and work with the business to agree such calculations
- Work with the Semantic Modeling team to define data access paths (Dimensions)
- Work with the metadata team in data naming standardization and data consistency across the business units
- Work with the Semantic Modeling team in mapping data/metrics to the business data model
- Build the Reports using the defined tools (currently defined as SAS)
- Develop reporting and analysis test plans
- Execute reporting and analysis test plans based on an iterative process
This candidate will work with members from other teams within EIM as well as members outside of EIM (such as Technology and Business). This is a dynamic environment and requires a candidate with strong organizational and communication skills as well as experience in the categories mentioned above.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science or Information Technology
- 5+ years experience in Financial Services
- Strong organizational skills
- Good communication skills
- Good team player
- Experience using SAS tools (BI Dashboard, Enterprise Guide, Information Map Studio , Web Report Studio) is required
- Experience developing requirements for reporting and analytics
- Experience in decomposing metrics to their atomic data level
- Experience defining data access paths (Dimensions)
- Good test plan creation skills
- Able to develop process, procedures and expected deliverables for the team
Hours and Work Schedule
Hours per Week: 40
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM
