Business Leader – Credit Risk recruitment
The purpose of the role is to protect the organisation from losses by ensuring that settlement risk issues are appropriately identified and mitigated. Heading up a team of two, your responsibilities will include:
• Ensure that risk assessments on new and existing clients are conducted in order to identify risk exposures to the Company.
• Monitor countries and clients that may cause concern and implement appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
• Work with the sales and products teams to facilitate volume and revenue growth without exposing the Company to undue risks.
• Anticipate client defaults (as far as possible) and deal with client defaults in such a manner as to minimise risk exposure
The ideal candidate will be a seasoned credit risk professional, educated to degree level with strong interpersonal skills. This is a senior role and the ability to influence at senior management level is important. Bank credit analysis skills including a sound understanding of political and macroeconomic issues are taken as read. Previous financial services experience would be advantageous.
