Business Risk Analyst – Hedge Funds and Investment Management

My client, a world-leading Investment Management Institution, is looking for a Business Risk Analyst to work closely with hedge fund managers and form a responsible and robust approach to risk management.
In this role, you will perform desktop reviews of hedge fund documentation, including due diligence questionnaires and marketing presentations. This opportunity also allows you to be a visual presence across the business, visiting each hedge fund manager and teams of administrators, building key relationships and providing subject matter expertise on operational risks and due diligence.
This role will give you exposure to senior stakeholders across the business, and the relationships you build will be key to the success of the role. Due to the nature of the role, this will be a great opportunity for someone with a keen interest in the hedge fund industry.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant, preferably ACA, with the understanding of and ability to evaluate operational risks within the hedge fund industry. You will also appreciate the importance of the application of consistent policy of financial asset valuation, audited financial statements of the alternative investment strategy, potential risks or weaknesses of counterparty and prime brokerage terms and compliance/regulatory standards and issues.
