Buy Side Portfolio Analytics – Account Manager recruitment

Our client is a very well established and leading global provider of investment software solutions, consulting  services. To strengthen their presence here in London and with the release of new solutions to bring to market they are looking to strengthen their portfolio analytics division with the hire of an Account Manager to take ownership of some key client relationships.  This is a newly created role to be a senior level "face" of the company to clients in order to handle the the clients pro-actively, ensuring service levels and acting as the monitoring/escalation point as required, whilst taking commercial responsibility for renewal of annual contracts/licences and spotting threats and commercial opportunities for upselling in order to extend the commercial relationships.  You will report directly to the Divisional Managing Director, and as this is a new senior role there is certainly the opportunity for a relationship professional to "make the role their own", defining the position, setting up better systems and procedures to monitor and proactively manage clients, and defining upselling sales strategy into the accounts etc.

We welcome hearing from interested portfolio analytics professionals with the following sort of experience and skill-set:

• Client facing experience in a Sales, Client Relationship Manager, Account Manager type role for either a financial institution, software or financial information vendor, dealing with analytical services for the buy side - either Asset Managers, Hedge Funds or Wealth Managers etc.

• Domain experience with any of the following types of analytical solutions/services would be very appropriate: portfolio analysis, risk management, performance attribution, portfolio construction, asset allocation, optimization etc. It is likely you will have some knowledge of at least one of the following types of analytical systems: SP Clarifi, SunGard/APT, Algorithmics, Riskmetrics / MSCI Barra, Wilshire, Northfield, ClariFI, Axioma, Finanalytica, StatPro, FactSet, Thomson QAI / Vestek / Quantec, COR-RS / Bita Plus, SSC (Sylvan), DST (HiPerformance / Hi Risk), Lehman Point, UBS Credit Delta etc etc. 

• A client facing consultative approach and the personal motivation to make a difference and contribute to the company’s future success here in Europe.

• Strong commercial acumen to facilitate renewing of contracts and upselling.
